Ultimate Beatles’ show can be tailored to meet your needs and to fit around your event, be it a wedding, party or corporate fuction. Before making a booking, please take the time to read this important extra information.
Do you play live?
We don’t expect you to pay for a phony act; you are assured that Ultimate Beatles play 100% live. We use some electronic wizardry to get some of our sound effects, but every note you will hear is played on the spot – no backing tapes!
How loud are you?
Ultimate Beatles don’t play any louder than you would expect any rock and roll band to play, but we’re not a cocktail act! Live drums, bass and guitars inevitably means loud, high energy music, so if you’re looking for ‘background’ music, Ultimate Beatles are not going to be ideal. Please bear this in mind when considering the type of entertainment you want and the type of venue where you will be holding your event.
In particular, please check with the venue whether there is a sound limiter installed. This is an electronic device that cuts off electricity supply to the band if the volume of music remains above a certain level for more than a certain number of seconds.
How long do you play for?
We typically perform one set of an hour, two sets of 45 minutes or three of half an hour, with up to three costume changes according to the schedule. However, we can negotiate with you according to your needs.
Our theatre show is two one hour sets with four costume changes, a ‘Fifth Beatle’ in the wings on keyboards, and much more.
Do you take requests?
Check our Repertoire page for the Beatles hits we play. We will do our best to cater for your requests too.
Do I need to hire any extra equipment?
We bring our own sound rig which is big enough for most small to medium indoor venues. We are happy to discuss larger events (including outdoor festivals etc.) and the sort of equipment that may need to be hired. Generally if your event is for more than about 250 people, it is worthwhile hiring a separate audio visual company to provide the sound and lighting equipment for the event. If you are unsure, please ask.
Do I need to hire a separate DJ?
We can provide disco lighting and a laptop DJ service at no extra cost to yourselves. We can also provide a bespoke recorded playlist (you choose the songs in advance) for a small fee.
What is your rider?
In addition to our fee, we ask for a secure, clean changing room, soft drinks and a hot meal for each band member.
Are you insured?
As paid-up MU members, we are insured for Public Liability in the event of any accidents. All of our electrical equipment is fully PAT tested, as required by most venues.
How much do you charge?
Fees vary according to the location and size of your event and whether you need us to set up especially early or stay especially late. We ask you to pay a deposit and sign a contract with us to ensure we both understand our commitments.
