Meet The Band

Grant Van Funkle as John Lennon.

Natural entertainer Grant taught himself to play guitar by learning Beatles songs and since then has performed in various original and cover bands. On joining Ultimate Beatles he already knew most of the songs!

In addition to guitar and vocals Grant plays bass and keyboards. He also performs regularly as Jim Morrison in his Doors tribute, The Strange Doors.

Max Wurr as Paul McCartney

Max has been a self-confessed Beatle geek since since childhood. He has played guitar and bass with various jazz, pop and rock line-ups, is an experienced singer/songwriter and has also written musical scores for professional theatre productions.

George Harrison

Matt McLaughlin as Ringo Starr

Matt started hitting things at a young age and has not stopped since.

He has an impressive musical CV which includes playing drums and percussion in The Lion King, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Daddy Cool, Lord of The Rings, Avenue Q, Hair, Hairspray, Jesus Christ Superstar, Thriller Live, Love Never Dies, Never Forget, Tell Me On A Sunday and Evita in London’s West End.

He has also played in three international tours of the hugely successful Queen musical, We Will Rock You.
